  2. If files are available on your local system (not yet uploaded), navigate to Upload tab. Drag all files to a page or tap Select files from your system.   • If multiple files that you have added to email are not yet been shared with email’s receipt in Google Drive, Gmail will display the following message after choosing Send button to deliver an email:

  • Change permissions of all shared files (attachments) on Google Drive by selecting one of the following options:
  1. Can view: Anyone with a corresponding link can view but cannot edit or comment.
  2. Can comment: Anyone with a link can view and comment but unable to edit.
  3. Can edit: Anyone with associate link can edit, view, and comment.

For all restrictive permissions (for e.g. with mail recipients instead of everyone), click More options, and choose Recipients of this email. Perform the above steps with how would you like the files are based on the permissions. Notify that this option requires mail recipients to have Google account before opening files.

Note: You can also send a mail without setting all permissions by clicking Send without sharing option. But you can manually edit all the permissions later, otherwise recipients will not able to open all the files.
